Our Process

Consent & Control

From the first conversation to the final cut, every survivor retains 100% authority over their story, their image, and their voice. This is not just a policy — it is the foundation of everything we do.

Step 01

The Pre-Interview Consultation

Before the cameras ever turn on

Every survivor is offered a preliminary conversation — completely off-camera — to discuss their boundaries, triggers, and what they do not want to share. This conversation belongs entirely to you. Nothing is recorded. Nothing is assumed. We listen first.

Step 02

Visual & Auditory Protection

Your identity, your choice

Visual

We utilize professional silhouette lighting and artistic masking techniques that preserve your dignity while keeping you completely anonymous. Your face, your form — protected.

Auditory

Professional post-production voice modulation protects your identity while maintaining the full emotional resonance of your story. Your truth is heard — your voice, shielded.

Step 03

The Kill Switch Protocol

You are always in control

Survivors retain the absolute right to pause or end the interview at any time — no questions asked, no pressure applied. Beyond that, every participant is given the right to review their segment of the footage before the final cut is locked. Your story does not go anywhere without your approval.

Step 04

Trauma-Informed Support

A bridge, not a replacement

We are not therapists — and we never pretend to be. But we act as a bridge. Every participant receives access to resource lists including RAINN and other support organizations. We strongly encourage each person to have a support person or advocate present throughout the interview process. You should never walk through this alone.

Support Resources

If you or someone you know needs support, please reach out to RAINN — the nation's largest anti-sexual violence organization. Their confidential hotline is available 24/7.
